Commercial Solar panel systems can contribute a significant amount of your electricity demand on-site, depending on your demand and available roof space or spare land.

This will considerably reduce the amount purchased at an ever increasing cost from the National Grid as all the power is made available on site through your existing electrical distributions system and is free.

In addition, every unit that you self generate is rewarded with a feed-in tariff, any units not used are usually exported into the Grid which also provides an additional income in most cases. These payments are guaranteed as part of the Energy Act 2009, are RPI-index linked and are payable for 20 years from the date of installation.

As with any commercial contract you need to be careful and understand what you are signing-up to. In the case of energy supply contracts this usually means a 12 month deal or more with a pre-arranged renewal date several months before the contract ends.

WATER SERVICES

You may be on the right tariff for business energy but have you considered what you might save with your water utilities?

Water services in England were scheduled for deregulation in April 2017 which means that business can choose who supplies their water.

We can help you benefit from this change by securing a reduction in your annual water bill.

Our contacts within the industry have allowed us to negotiate deals with water suppliers to ensure clients will get a greater discount on their supplies than they would do so on their own.

Your water will stay the same, in fact, bills are likely to be easier to understand – especially if you have more than one site – as they will all arrive in your inbox each month from the same supplier, instead of from several different water firms.

But, like with your gas and electricity contracts, you may be asked to sign up for a minimum three-year deal and pay by direct debit.
